At A&G Travel Group, we’re deeply committed to making a positive impact. For the third consecutive year, we proudly supported the Six Nations Dinner in aid of the Matt Hampson Foundation. The event, hosted at Battersea Evolution, brought together around 1,200 guests from the worlds of business and rugby for an unforgettable evening. It was a night filled with energy, inspiration, laughter, and a remarkable sense of unity – all in support of an extraordinary cause.
Celebrating a Cause Close to Our Hearts

The Matt Hampson Foundation holds a special place in our hearts at A&G. This incredible charity is dedicated to supporting individuals who have faced life-changing injuries, embodying the values of resilience, hope, and community. Through essential support, rehabilitation, and education, the foundation empowers its beneficiaries to rediscover purpose and strength in the face of adversity. It’s an honour to support their outstanding work year after year.
Matt Hampson OBE, who was left paralysed from the neck down following a rugby injury, turned an unimaginable challenge into a mission of hope. Rather than giving up, Matt embraced the mantra “get busy living” and dedicated himself to helping young people with disabilities and life-altering injuries find their path. The foundation inspires its beneficiaries to focus on their abilities and embrace life to the fullest. It’s a truly remarkable organisation making a profound difference – humbling and inspiring in every way.
The Thrill of the ‘Heads & Tails Game’
A&G Travel Group was thrilled to sponsor the exciting ‘Heads & Tails Game,’ a standout moment of the evening! Guests eagerly stood, buzzing with anticipation, as they guessed whether the coin-flipped by none other than Wayne Barnes, widely regarded as one of the greatest international rugby union referees – would land on heads or tails. Participants signalled their choices by placing their hands on their heads or behind their backs, filling the room with energy and laughter.

The excitement soared as the crowd gradually narrowed to the final contestants, who made their way to the stage. At stake was an extraordinary prize: 2 x direct return flights to Dubai, four luxurious nights at The Address Beach Resort – home to the world’s highest infinity pool – and an adrenaline-filled desert safari courtesy of Desert Gate. The anticipation was palpable as everyone waited to see who would take home this incredible package.
This year’s game held special significance for us, as the grand prize winner was one of the charity’s own beneficiaries. Her son had endured a life-altering motorbike accident shortly after the first pandemic lockdown, suffering a broken neck. Tragically, she couldn’t be by his side during the early stages of his recovery. In speaking with them, we heard their incredible story of resilience and how the foundation’s steadfast support helped them navigate such a difficult chapter of their lives. Defying the odds, her son has gone from facing possible paralysis to now training for a half marathon to give back to the charity that stood by them. Their strength and heartfelt gratitude made this victory all the more meaningful.
The ‘Heads & Tails Game’ alone raised approximately, an astonishing £24,000, significantly contributing to the evening’s fundraising efforts. It’s moments like these that remind us of the profound joy and impact that come from giving, all while supporting a vital cause.
A Special Spotlight on The Address, Dubai
One of the evening’s highlights was unveiling a sneak peek of the unforgettable experience awaiting our lucky winner. The Address Hotel in Dubai epitomises luxury hospitality, combining elegance and comfort in every detail. Home to the world’s highest infinity pool with stunning views of the cityscape, exceptional fine dining, and impeccable service, it’s a haven where sophistication meets tranquillity – the ultimate destination for a one-of-a-kind escape, perfect for our deserving winners.

We were honoured to have Luke, the General Manager of The Address, fly in from Dubai, for 1 night only to join us for this special evening. Not only did he generously collaborate by offering complimentary nights at his hotel, but when he learned the winners were beneficiaries of the foundation, he went a step further and upgraded their room. His kindness and thoughtfulness truly made this experience even more extraordinary. We’d like to take this moment to once again express our heartfelt gratitude for his generosity and support.

A Night of Unforgettable Memories
The evening was masterfully hosted by the brilliant, Former England international David Flatman, with auctioneer extraordinaire Jonny Gould and singer Laura Wright also providing top notch entertainment. The talent, wit and charisma kept the guests entertained throughout.
Another standout moment was the interview segment on stage featuring rugby players such as Nicky Robinson and Mike Tindal. It’s always a crowd favourite, offering a mix of humour, rugby banter, and candid moments that bring the evening to life.
To cap it all off, guests toasted the event’s success on the dance floor, celebrating an unforgettable night filled with joy, camaraderie, and generosity.
